Fever Pitch first blog

The name of my book is Fever Pitch and its written by Nick Hornby. The author starts with the sentence ”It’s there all the time, looking for a way out”. I think this is a rather brilliant way to start of a book, since you become so curious finding out what he means with these words. As a result of the start of the book you just want to find out more and more which I think personally is an best fashion to start up any type of story, by waking the readers curiosity.

The title of the book and the first page really reveal all what the book is going to be all about. On the first page there is a boy kicking on a football, this combined with the title says a lot. I think the story will be about footballs downs and tops, due to the ”Fever” in the title. And the first sentences in the book really confirms my guesses.

However deeper into the book there appears more than football. Parents separating, hard time in school and parents who doesn’t care about him. The only thing he enjoy is ”gameday”, when his dad takes him to the football pitch watching Arsenal. The thing i like with the first chapters is how well the author can pinpoint the football fans anxiety before the game and how all can turn into relief and satisfied feelings if your team win. Nevertheless I think how this book will continue, how the round thing can fill your life with joy as depression. And how it can cheer you up when everything seams hopeless.
