The Prince of Mist-5

The Prince of Mist contains both external and internal conflicts, even if you can say that the main conflict is an external conflict.

The conflict that I call the main conflict in The Prince of Mist is how Max, Alicia, Roland and also Victor are trying to stop the wizard Chains evil plans. It’s a conflict that has been in progress for a lot of years, long before Max and Alicia arrived to the town. First is it just stories telled by Victor and some strange coincidences, but the friends will later find out in what a great danger they actually are.

The big external conflict in
The Prince of Mist is a result of an earlier internal conflict. A young man, Dr Fleischmann, was in deep love with a woman, Eva. He went to Chain, the wizard that could make his dream come true, and make Eva love him back. The magician kept his word and Dr Fleischmann and Eva got married, but it had a price. In order to get his wish come true was Dr Fleischmann forced to give Chain his firstborn son. Therefor was he never planning to have any son, but when Eva ended up in a deep depression was a child the only way for he to recover. This is the internal conflict. What will Dr Fleischmann do? Have a child to help his wife but let Chain take him, or refuse it and then be forced to tell the truth for his wife.
