In ”The Kite Runner”there is one main character named Amir. The book is written in a first person perspective so we get to see everything out of Amir´s point of view. Hosseini presents Amir in the story that he is an unlikable coward who failed to come to the aid of his best friend. Amir´s appearance may not be known because it´s written in first person perspective and Amir is the main character and narrator of the novel so he´s not telling how he´s look like because it´s not important, what is important is his story.
Other characters are Hassan who is Amir´s best friend. Hosseini presents Hassan in the story that Amir telling the reader that Hassan and I used to climb the poplar trees in the driveway of my father´s house. He is described as having a China doll face, green eyes, and a harelip. His personality is that he is not afraid of anything and he is also careless. Hassan´s part in the story is that he is Amir´s childhood friend and he is also Amir´s butler.
