In large part of the book set it in a town called Swindon. The city is pretty big and I think the environment feels quite old when you read the book. The emotions in the book , I think feels pretty tense and sometimes very serious because that it is a murder mystery to be solved. When I read a book, I'm not going to direct odors or flavors but one scent you might notice is the smell of blood when Christopher find the dead dog . I think that a city that Swindon is well suited to this kind of story and I do not think it would meet with anything else. Sure, the story could be the same but in a different environment, but I think that a detective story fits very well into a British city that Swindon who is a bit old, worn and so on. The author have chose a good city for the story.
