The environment has a major impact on how people view the lives of the various characters in the book. At first, the man without a name live himself. It´s a common house and nothing fancy. He works in the city in a typical office. Meanwhile, we see a change in the environment for this character . It begins when he comes to the meetings that he goes to in the evenings. You gets the feeling that the room they are staying in is a bit worn and not so modern. Then he meets Mary Singer in a shabby little shop that is not so exclusive. He also meets Tyler Durden and hanging out with him at his home. He lives in a very worn house that leaks water when it rains. Everything is a mess and it's dirty and worn . Tyler and the person without a name live together later in a slightly nicer house but don´t care much about how it looks. It gives the impression of a scent that is a bit stale. It also recognizes the characters as sweaty and with a poorer hygiene. It also gives a picture of what the accommodation looks. Then there's of course also the venue where Fight Club keeps house. There is an old cellar under a restaurant. The restaurant is located a little bit outside the city and is not the finest . It's a bit dirty and you battling in shirtless and without shoes. The characters are sweaty and after a number of hits even bloody. The environment plays a big role and it would not have been the same if it took place in a different environment . It's hard to pinpoint why , but you realize that there are people who live like that.
