Fever Pitch fifth blog
The time is at the beginning of May and all footballers lovers now that this the time for the Premier League last games. Arsenal would play their last game this day. They were on the second place, 2 points after Liverpool. But their last game were against Liverpool away on Anfield road. This was Arsenal chance to win the title they haven’t won for 17 years.
Nick is so nervous, he is so scared of Arsenal failure he can’t barely think clear. But the day before he had a fight with Sarah, she was sick of Nick’s addiction to Arsenal. She desperately wanted to go the Canary Islands. But Nick said they couldn’t afford it. But in fact did he put that money on a season ticket for next season. Sarah did later find out that he spend the money on the ticket. A consequence of Nick’s act is that Sarah will leave him.
The turning point is when Arsenal wins the league and Nick is overjoyed but even tough his dream becomes true he still feels empty. There he realise that Sarah is more important than everything on earth. He realise he can still watch Arsenal and be with Sarah at the same time, but Sarah must be his number one chose.
Nick returns his season ticket. They go to the Canary islands and they live happily ever after.
