Blog post four - Where eagles dare
This particular story is played out during the second world war. So the distinct conflict in the book is between the Wehrmacht and the allies. It would be wrong to assert that the conflict was between the germans and the english, or the germans and the US army. Because the story contain two different tasks. Morris Schaffer is on the mission to save the american general that crash-landed into the area near the Schloss Adler. Meanwhlie, John Smith is there to try to expose some traitors in the british MI6.
The operation to disclose the traitors is only known by John Smith and Mary Elison. Therefore, the story gets a little bit more exiting. Because when Smith reveals the true purpose of the mission, everyone gets chocked, and the story turns out to a real nail biter. Schaffer and the other englishmen thought they were in the Schloss Adler to free the american general. And they were, at least a little.
