Blog post five - Where eagles dare
In this story, I would say that it exists multiple turning points. There are a few times in the book where your teeth start to chatter because of this so called "Point of no return". The first one I noticed was when one of the soldiers in the Task Force suddenly got killed. That incident spun your head quite a lot.
The book therefore has a couple of these points. But the most extreme one, the one that leaves you with your chin down, is the one when John Smith reveals why the squad really is there. Thats the big turning point of the story.
The author handles this situation very well, mostly because of his way to keep the information to himself, until he drop a kind of "info-bomb" on you. And after that particular drop, everything suddenly makes sence.
I don't see how the author possibly could make this better. To this occasion, this way is brilliant.
The author really did a good job with this special turning point!
