And then there were none 1

Agatha Christie starts the story by writing a bit about Soldier Island, which is the island where the story will take place and she also writes about the main characters journeys to Soldier Island. She tells us about their invitation letters to the island, how they travel, things that happen during their travel, what they think about during their travel etc.

She didn’t really manage to capture me as a reader in the beginning of the story, reading about the characters journeys to the island isn’t really that fun. But I understand that it is a must to get a image of the different characters.

The title of the book is ”And Then There Were None” and it does reveal quite a bit. In the end of the story everyone will be dead - ”And Then There Were None” litteraly.

I felt pretty bored when i read the first few sentences and why I felt this way was probably because the sentences were about what a man called Mr Justice Wargrave was thinking. I didn’t even know who he was, so his thoughts didn’t affect me so much.

Before I even read the book i knew what the book would be like, because people had told me about it. So through the first few chapters I had on my mind that people would die on the island and nobody would know who the murderer was.
